I first stepped into a recording studio in the fall of 1992 with my newly formed band, Moist. Since then I have had the pleasure of participating in the recording of hundreds of songs and dozens of albums. Some of these projects have been in world class facilities, like Little Mountain in British Columbia or Le Studio Morin Heights in Quebec. Others have been in project studios. And now many are in the homes of fellow musicians and friends. Whatever the situation, writing and recording, especially in collaboration with others, continues to be a source of joy, fellowship and humility for me.

The first time I played a stringed instrument on stage (so this qualifier takes out my brief experiment with tap dancing in grade 4) was when my band the MVPs played at a community event at Amherst Island Public School. Then came stage band in high school. The last time I performed was doing live band karaoke at a community college. In between those experiences I’ve played thousands of shows, some for thousands of people and some where the number of band members were larger than the audience. It honestly makes no difference.

As well as performing with Moist I have also filled in for other touring artists like Toronto, Lee Aaron, Ridley Bent, Kim Bingham, Classic Albums Live and others.

As well as co-writing all the songs on Moist’s five albums (except the fourth album when I was taking a break from the band and only co-wrote  on half the record), I have also had the pleasure of writing with many amazing artists. More details to follow.

Live Band Karaoke and Team Building

We have a band, we love playing music. Why not share the experience. You have a company and a team that you want to bring together in a meaningful way. Why not let them experience the thrill and joy of collaborating in a rock band. For over 20 years Rock Star Live has given individuals and teams the opportunity to sing in front of a real live rock band. Events have included slots at the CNE, city sponsored events, the Toronto Grand Prix, casinos, bars, colleges, universities, weddings, birthday parties and any other event you may think of. Music is a gift and we love to share it. Check out www.rockstarlive.ca for more info.
